  1. The setup program detected the older version of IE Privacy Keeper installed on this machine. It is very important to correctly uninstall the older version (older than 2.7) before installing this new one.

  3. The uninstalling instructions (you can complete them without closing this setup program):

  5. 1. Start IE Privacy Keeper (the older version);
  6. 2. Switch to the Options tab;
  7. 3. Uncheck all the options;
  8. 4. Make sure the shortcut key is set to None and click the Set button;
  9. 5. Close IE Privacy Keeper;
  10. 6. Run the uninstall program.

  12. How do I run the uninstall program?

  14. There are three methods:
  15.  
  16. a) Click Start -> Programs -> UnH Solutions -> IE Privacy Keeper -> Uninstall IE Privacy Keeper.

  20. b) Open the Add/Remove Programs window, locate the IE Privacy Keeper entry and click Remove.

  24. c) Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder you installed IE Privacy Keeper (usually C:\Program Files\UnH Solutions\IE Privacy Keeper), double-click the unins000.exe file.

  26. Once the uninstall program finishes, click Cancel on this window to exit the setup, then restart Windows. After Windows loads, start this setup program again.
